Children’s Hours
Children above eight are welcome at dinner at the
Club on all days and at lunch on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Children of all ages are. welcome at Oriental Room at all times.
Dress Codes
In Reynolds Room, Nagraj
Bar, Terrace Room, Dining Hall and Public Rooms, Members and their guests
may not wear:
Shirts or vests without
collars
Chappals or sandals with
straps, except with dhoti-punjabis or churidar-kurtas
Kurtas of any
kind, except with churidars Loose or Aligarh pyjamas and shorts
Jeans, except on Sundays
and holidays, ti1l5pm. Members or guests may not appear attired in untidy
or inappropriate clothing or barefoot anywhere in the Club.

Chambers
The Bengal Club
Chambers Located on the second and third floors of the clubhouse, our
Chambers are commodious and well appointed, each with a private balcony.
We offer nine standard and five deluxe Chambers and a Suite. Please
contact the Secretariat for details.
Services include
airconditioning; local, inland and overseas phone; private bath and
toilet; cable tv; fridge; tea/coffee maker; digital safe; Internet link
for laptop on request; round-the-clock personal attendant for each
Chamber. Bakery. Icecream vendor. Barbershop. Elevators. Valet services.
Guests are welcome to attend Club events and use the Reading Room during
their stay. Joggers may wish to saunter up to the Maidan, a five minute
walk.
Food Complimentary
morning tea, Darjeeling or Assam, with fresh cookies and the day's
newspaper. Guests may have English breakfast in their Chambers for Rs 75.
Lunch, tea and dinner at the Club. Continental, Indian, Chinese and
Bengali cuisines, depending on the day of the week. Room service 6am-11
pm
Beverages Guests
are welcome to the Club's bars. Bar facilities are also available in the
Chambers.
Bookings By phone,
fax or mail. Phone bookings are required to be confirmed via fax or mail
within 24 hours. Only guests introduced by Members can be booked.
Cancellations No
charges for cancellations up to 48 hours ahead. 50% of a day's Chamber
charges during the 48-hour period, and 100% on the day of the booking.
Current charges Standard
Chambers at Rs 2700 each, Deluxe Chambers at Rs 3000 each, and the Suite
at Rs 3500, daily. Service charges, bearer charges, and daily membership
subscription. Check-in or check-out at 12 noon. 10% off Chamber charges
when a guest stays five consecutive days or takes five Chambers in one
day.
Payments Guests may
pay via Visa or Master card or in cash, at check-out, or a Member's
account may be debited, if so arranged. Reciprocal Members are required
to buy and use cash coupons available at the Reception. Members will be
responsible for clearing all chambers’ dues.
